This is how to make people work when they are not working directly

Vijaybhai has achieved great success in the business of network marketing. He has built a network of fifteen to seventeen thousand people. In which he has worked hard to develop leadership qualities in many people. It does not happen that everyone is successful among the thousands of people working with him. Often, when a team of some leaders is continuously failing, sales have slowed down, Vijaybhai calls a special meeting of the people of that team and talks to everyone in such a way that within a few days or months, that team also starts doing business very successfully.

What does Vijaybhai say to people that has such a good effect? Vijaybhai tells one thing very seriously to the people of his failing team. He says, – “Look friends, just as success and failure are two different things, successful people and unsuccessful people are also completely different. They look the same from the outside. Their inner strength is also the same. But there is a huge difference in the nature of both types of people. The biggest difference, friends, is that successful people do all the things that unsuccessful people do not like to do.”

Hearing this, the team members feel a jolt from within. Then Vijaybhai explains further, – “Unsuccessful people do not like to be upgraded, do not like to learn something new. That is why they do not learn. While successful people do that work. Unsuccessful people do not like to change old habits. While successful people change habits no matter what. Even if they do not like to change habits. Unsuccessful people do not like to promote themselves, so they do not do it, while successful people do that work even if they do not like to promote themselves.”

He adds, “Think about yourself, which of the tasks that are necessary to grow the business do you dislike? And then see if the successful leaders of our team do those tasks? The answer will be, yes. And then if you ask them, you will find that they are doing those tasks even though they do not like them. They have made it a habit to do those tasks.”

As soon as this is understood, changes begin to occur in the people on the team and results start to be seen in two to four months.

Dame?

Because there is a challenge in Vijaybhai’s words. “Successful people do all the tasks that unsuccessful people do not like to do” – that is the real challenge. It is a challenge that stirs the soul from within.

If you want to get the best work from people, challenge their work. Only when a challenge comes in front, real change begins. If you expect better performance from a person, then find out what is the root cause behind his poor performance and then challenge him in a way that touches on that cause. There will definitely be a change in that person’s performance.

It is worth knowing the story of a teacher I know who teaches Chemistry to 12th standard students. He is very popular among the students and the students in his class also produce very good results. After giving the necessary guidance to the students who are performing poorly or averagely, he always says, “Will you be able to prove yourself the best in the upcoming exam?” This question gives a jolt to the student’s mind. A challenge arises. And its effect on his studies is very good. If you can encourage the student to compete with himself in terms of studies, his results will be very good.

Every person has the desire to do better and perform better, but this desire is awakened only in a competitive environment. Whether that competition is with other people or with oneself. Fuel this desire of people through challenge, it will give you the desired results.

It is not a matter of throwing challenges only where financial matters are involved, but in any daily transaction, throw challenges when there is a need for excellent performance.

If we take the negative opinions that come in front of us as a challenge, then we can break all our bonds and develop.

Amitabh Bachchan had to face such negative opinions at the beginning of his career. His voice was rejected by All India Radio, his high pitch was rejected by most producers. – Yet, taking these things as challenges, Amitabh Bachchan developed his talent to such an extent that today he has been a superstar for years. Challenge is the best tool for developing talent.

Competition is of special importance in any field. Healthy competition can give a person a very positive push. If there are no other competitors, encourage the person to compete with himself, challenge him in such a way that he uses all his strengths. Most of the latent strengths come out only in challenging situations. So challenge him.

Sneha Rane of Jalgaon runs a woolen sweater making business. She has kept a two-storey building next to her house. And in it, she has set up automatic sweater making machines. She has about 35-40 women working there. Sneha’s business is doing very well. She has so many orders that even though she has enough machinery and staff, she cannot meet them.

In order to make the employees work more effectively, she also gives them special incentives to produce more, i.e. additional financial benefits. If the women produce more without wasting time, then Sneha has made arrangements so that they can get about half their salary every month.

When Snehabe explains the benefits of this additional income to her employees, the presentation is very effective. She says. – “Look, ladies, in this day and age when many people are unemployed, you are really lucky that you have been able to get a job according to your skills. However, I understand very well that in these times of inflation, a single salary does not do anything. No matter how good it is. Especially if you want to live a good life.”

If you want your children to study in a good school, do higher studies, you can fulfill your hobbies, and install new things in your home, then you should increase your income for that. We have made arrangements so that you get a lot of extra money every month. The more you produce, the more money you will be able to earn. But yes, you should need more money. There should be something like a hobby or a dream. Only then is it possible.

Just these last two-three sentences shock the employees because there is a challenge in that. “Don’t we have hobbies? Don’t we have dreams? – That is the challenge.” This challenge works. It works well. There is a big difference in the effectiveness of a simple statement and a statement presented with a challenge. Try implementing it and you will see the difference.

Arvindbhai was the president of his caste. During the last meeting of the caste executive, someone proposed that we should organize a picnic next month, it would be fun. Everyone was delighted and everyone agreed. Arvindbhai distributed the various tasks assigned to all the members of the executive for the picnic arrangement. The planning was going well. Everyone was enthusiastic.

Four days later, when the meeting was held again, the president asked, “Let me tell you whether the work assigned to each person has been completed or not?” But no one’s work had made any significant progress. Since everyone was busy with their own business, they could not find time for this work, but everyone assured that all the arrangements would be made this week.

When there was no significant progress in the work in the next meeting, Arvindbhai said, “Look friends, I think you cannot do this work, I will have to hand over this work to the woman executive now.” And everyone said in unison, no, Arvindbhai, everything will be done in two days. We will do it ourselves, and by the next day evening, all the arrangements were made properly.

The answer is. – Challenge. “Can’t we do the work so that we have to hand it over to the woman executive?” Such a challenge. And when such a challenge comes, work is done, whether it is at the social level or at the personal level, but the challenge works.

Two teams of salespersons of Sujal Enterprise were doing door-to-door marketing. One in Ahmedabad and the other in Surat. The Surat team was selling more than the Ahmedabad team. Their boss made a great speech by gathering the salespeople of the Ahmedabad team, and the Ahmedabad team was ahead from the very second month.

What did the boss say?

He only said, “Our team has been performing poorly while the Surat team is selling more. Both the teams are similar, on the contrary, our team has marketing education while the Surat team does not have it either.”

And that was it, the shock hit. – “We have taken marketing education and we cannot sell?” – such a challenge arose and a kind of elf came. As a result, sales increased.

Challenges make internal forces blossom. They give strength. They give energy, new vitality emerges.

So challenge people about their work.
